Yes. The Ultraventure 4 is designed for hiking as well as trail running, with plush ZipFoam™ cushioning and Vibram® XS Trek EVO traction for comfort and grip on light-to-moderate trails. Topo itself lists hiking among its intended uses.

What are the key differences between the Topo Ultraventure 4 and 5?

The Ultraventure 5 keeps the same 35/30 mm stack and 5 mm drop as the Ultraventure 4, but updates the ZipFoam™ midsole, mesh upper, and gaiter system. Both offer a plush, high-cushion ride for trails, hiking and road-to-trail use.
